Now playing
Ten slow minutes of warm pads, soft piano, a low cello and distant ocean, tuned to A. Underneath sits a gentle binaural beat that drifts from 7.83 Hz, the Earth's own Schumann resonance, up through 10.5 Hz to a clear 14.1 Hz as the piece ends.
Ten slow minutes of warm music over a gentle binaural beat that drifts from 7.83 Hz, the Earth's Schumann resonance, up to a clear 14.1 Hz.
Wear headphones. A binaural beat only forms when each ear hears its own tone. What's a binaural beat?Wear headphones for the binaural beat. Why?
Traditional and theoretical associations, shared for interest. Not medical claims.
Your left ear hears one low tone and your right ear hears another a few hertz higher. Your brain blends them into a soft third pulse that isn't in either ear. That pulse is the binaural beat. In Earth Hum it starts at 7.83 beats a second and slowly rises to 10.5, then 14.1.
Through speakers, the two tones mix in the air before they reach you, and the beat is gone. Any stereo headphones or earbuds will do. Keep the volume soft.
German physicist Heinrich Wilhelm Dove first described the effect in 1839. Gerald Oster brought it back into the spotlight in 1973 with "Auditory Beats in the Brain" in Scientific American.
What the research says. Some small studies find people feel calmer while listening, but results are mixed and nothing is proven. Enjoy it as music for rest and focus.
Earth Hum is music for relaxation, meditation and focus. It isn't a medical treatment, and it doesn't replace care from a qualified professional. Please don't listen while driving.

Crystal of the day
Traditionally associated with calm, intuition and peaceful sleep.
Today's intention: Slow down, breathe, and let one thing go.

An honest, belief-framed introduction. No hype, no medical claims, just the tradition behind the stones.
For thousands of years, across many cultures, people have treasured crystals for their beauty and the meanings they carry.
"Healing crystals" is a popular term for natural minerals and gemstones that people keep, wear or display as part of a mindful, intentional lifestyle. In crystal lore, each stone is traditionally associated with certain qualities, like calm, focus, gratitude and grounding, and many people use them as gentle reminders of the intentions they want to set.
We share the stories, symbolism and spiritual traditions behind popular crystals and rituals. We don't claim what crystals do. We explore what they've meant to people, and let you decide what resonates.

The sound healing room
A singing bowl is a standing bell that rings with a long, shimmering tone when you strike it or slowly circle its rim. People use the sound as a focus for meditation, a way to open or close a quiet moment, or simply because it is beautiful.
Just below is the Frequency Maestro: ten sets of crystal bowls, from the nine Solfeggio frequencies to a full 432 Hz chromatic set. Tap a gold rim to strike a bowl, or press and circle it to make it sing.

Before you order, you can book a free Zoom call with Nathalie, the maker. Send her a recording of bowls you already own and she’ll work out what fits around them, or find your first bowl with you. Write to order@resonancereset.com.
Partner disclosure: Crystal Healing Network is a Resonance Reset partner. If you order with code CRYSTALHEALING you save 5% and we earn a commission, at no extra cost to you. Each link opens the maker’s official shop, where you’ll see the current price. Every bowl is handcrafted and made to order, with gemstone infused into the quartz. Each is measured individually, tuned within 0 to 5 cents of its pitch, numbered, and comes with a certificate of its measured pitch. Tuning is 432 Hz or 440 Hz, as you prefer. Delivery to the US takes 4 to 6 weeks. Shipping and all import duties are paid at checkout as one line, so nothing is due on delivery.
For relaxation, meditation and educational exploration. This interactive sound experience is not medical treatment. Each bowl you tap plays a real strike recorded by Resonance Reset on their own bowls; a bowl they have not recorded uses their nearest recorded bowl, re-pitched. “Stay ringing” adds a sustained tone made in your browser, and the waveform shows the live sound. Headphones bring out the shimmer. Bowl photos: Resonance Reset’s own photographs of their bowls, relit for this page; the clear quartz bowls stand in for pieces they make as tuning forks.

No. There's no scientific evidence that crystals heal illness. People enjoy them for their beauty, their long traditions, and as reminders of an intention. We share that lore honestly, and nothing here replaces a doctor or professional care.
Pick the one you're drawn to. Many beginners start with clear quartz, rose quartz or amethyst because they're affordable, easy to find and full of tradition. Try the Find Your Crystal quiz for a suggestion.
Buy from sellers who name the stone and its origin. Real quartz usually feels cool and heavier than glass, and often has small natural inclusions. Very bright, perfectly uniform "crystals" at bargain prices are often glass or dyed.
No. Some stones, like selenite and malachite, can dissolve, crack or release minerals in water. Quartz family stones (clear, rose, amethyst) are generally water-safe, and for drinking water it's safest to use a bottle with a sealed crystal chamber.
A sound bath is a relaxation session where you lie or sit comfortably while someone plays singing bowls, gongs and chimes around you. Many people find it calming. It's an experience, not a medical treatment.
